A letter from First Lady…
Welcome to Women in Godly Services! A ministry dedicated to the evolution of all women through prayer, bible study and communion with one another. As women, we need to know we can lean on each other anytime we are in need and that’s what this powerful ministry is dedicated to providing. This is a safe house for women to gather to nurture and encourage each other on our journey through life. Thank you for walking with me and I look forward to our growth together.
With Love, Michelle

Spring, Wings, and Things

Spring, Wings, and Things
Did you know that February 14th better known as Valentine’s Day is historically known as the beginning of “mating season”? That’s right, it’s the beginning of reproduction among all of the animal kingdom. I’ve witnessed this transformation that takes place just by watching the birds in my own backyard. During the winter months they are strictly about staying warm, forging food from open fields, berries from shrubs and bushes, and seeds from my outdoor feeders. After February 14th they change in their behavior, becoming more aggressive. They flutter their wings more and fly more in pairs, busily building their nest for a soon-to-be family.

With people, there really isn’t that much difference. During the winter months, especially those of us who live in the North, we retreat into our homes staying warm with hot cider, cozy fireplaces, and warm coats that gets us through the snowy conditions. But when Spring comes, we get aggressive in our own rights. We lose the coats and get back outside, preparing spring gardens, doing home repairs, and the list goes on.

Spring comes with a special condition known as Spring Fever. This fever is so severe it causes us to do strange things like smile, stay up late, go for walks, enjoy cook-outs, bask in the green grass and flowers, and yes, even fall in love. It’s a God-given right and every living creature experience this transformation, It’s is beautiful and transcending.

I’m ready for my transformation this Spring, How about you? The beginning of this transforming fever begins February 14th, on Valentines Day! We will be kicking this transformation off with the Spring Semester of WINGS Bible Study. Join us every Thursdays at 7pm and Tuesdays at 9am,

Bring it on!

A Welcome Letter

Welcome to my new blog!

First_Blog_Collage This is an extension of my WINGS ministry and I am so delighted to spend this time together. I am so excited to write about all the amazing things that are happening in our world and share our experiences through each blog.  Every day of my life is a sheer blessing (maybe even a miracle) that I am able to pursue these goals with such amazing women.  I am so grateful to Jesus Christ for giving me purpose and a plan for all that I do.

As part of this new venture, I want you to get to know me while I learn more about you. I love to teach.  My mother was a teacher.  She treasured teaching in the public school system as well as teaching her 11 children at home.  Throughout my life, I have embraced this same love for teaching that my mother exercised.  I home-schooled my own two lovable children who are now young adults. I also teach children in a Christian school, and I teach women weekly in an awesome Bible study called WINGS.  Wow that’s a lot and can you believe I went back to school to finish a Master’s degree?

I am married to a remarkable Pastor, so I am honored to participate in ministry alongside him.  My greatest contribution to my hubby is my commitment to pray and support him as he leads God’s church and to empower the women of WCC through WINGS and now through blogging.

What a great joy it will be to journey with you through my blogs.  Are you willing to learn more about each other and study God’s word? Then let’s get started! Each week, I will log on to blog about the lesson plan from our WINGS bible study. This will be an extension of what we learned during our time in WINGS. So whether you can make it to the class or not, you will have the opportunity to take a deeper dive into the lesson plan with me and learn from other empowering WINGS women. I am overjoyed to have this opportunity to learn from each of you and cannot wait to get with the kick-off of our WINGS bible study on September 22nd.

Loving every minute with you all!
