Job Summary Provide skillful instrumental music support for WCC Worship services and events including funerals (etc.). Plays musical instrument as member of the Waukegan Community Church band. Location: 1016 Grand Avenue Waukegan, IL 60085 Salary: Negotiable
Position: Part Time Description:Waukegan Community Church (WCC) is in our 19th year of ministry. We are looking for a Worship leader and/or Worship musician that is familiar with Blended to Contemporary worship style music. Please send resume, demo and at least one pastoral reference.
Job Functions: Prepares and participates in weekly rehearsals. Studies and rehearses music to learn and interpret scores and music charts. May improvise and compose. Plays keyboard as soloist or as member of musical group, such as orchestra or band. May present new and appropriate music for choir. May assist in developing other musicians, drummer and guitarist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate Christ-likeness in every aspect of life and not participate in any alternative lifestyles. Must be a member of Waukegan Community Church (WCC) or be willing to become a member of WCC and complete Pastor's Welcome Class and pass security clearance (background check). Must have experience in leading worship team with volunteer and or professional experience in a church setting. Must be available from 9am-12:30pm on Sundays Must demonstrate skill in playing musical instrument. Must demonstrate skill in reading music charts and notes. Must be able to follow lead instrument when playing as a group. Have the ability to learn music by hearing. Have the ability to train others
