Dr. Obleton is a native of metro Detroit, Michigan.He and his wife, Michelle, currently live in Waukegan, IL.They have two adult children Shelby and Andrea. He is the Senior Pastor of Waukegan Community Church - a ministry that exists to empower God’s church through God’s Word to impact God’s world.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Christian Education from William Tyndale College, and a Master of Theology degree (Th.M.) and Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min) from Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Obleton started WCC in 1990 as an urban church designed to reach singles, embrace families, and challenge young people.He visualizes a ministry for the Waukegan Community Church that is creative, credible and caring.A ministry that promotes a relevant message, which reaches the unchurched, provides a real community and reproduces transformed followers. He has served on the Board of Overseers of the World Converge (formally known as the Baptist General Conference) as well as a Church Planting Coach.While in Dallas, he held a staff position for three-years at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under Dr. Tony Evans.
